Born again

Thanks for your readiness to address this MOST important issue:
"You Must Be Born Again" -- John 3 vs 7

Prayer of Salvation is a conversation with God where we confess our sins and profess faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour.

In John 14:6, Jesus declares “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

And in Romans 10:9, the Bible says "if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. "

Prayer of salvation involves
  • We acknowledge that Jesus Christ is God
  • We recognize that He died in our place, so that we would not have to pay the penalty we deserve.
  • We confess our past life of sin
  • We admit we are ready to trust Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord
  • We ask Jesus to come into our heart and begin living through us.

To be saved:
  1. Pray the following prayer truthfully and with all your heart
Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
  2. Salvation is not merely a one-time experience.  It is an experience which places you on the Christian faith journey - the Way of Salvation.  Accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is your first step on the trip. As you read your Bible you will grow spiritually. Find some good Christian people to associate with.  Begin to attend a Bible believing church. Learn how to witness to others telling them about your new relationship with Jesus. The goal of the Christian life is not getting into Heaven; that is the reward.  The goal is to continually become more like Jesus Christ and for your personal relationship with Him to grow deeper. Begin to study God's Word and obey His commands. Get involved with doing God's work.

    Refer to the following scriptures:
    John 3 vs 16; John 3 vs 3; 2 Corinthians 4 vs 6; 2 Corinthians 5 vs 21.

Please spend time studying the word of God. If you don't know where to start from, start from the book of Mathew and study right through to Revelation. Thereafter, go back and study Genesis to Malachi.

God Bless You.
